"Well-crafted songs and dynamic musicianship."
Morgan HanerMorgan Haner began writing songs at the age of 7, when he attempted to impress his first guitar teacher by rewriting the lyrics to 'The Old Gray Mare.' 23 years later, he has written for and played on over ten albums, the latest of which, “Transmitter Blues,” explores themes of grief and loss by contrasting acoustic and electric sounds, like walking the border between the land of the living and the land of the dead. By swinging between back-porch bluegrass and overdriven amplifiers, Haner’s work shows that our pains, joys, successes and failures all serve the same purpose: to teach us to keep moving.
