Cameroonian-born Myra Maimoh grew up in Bamenda. Influenced by her parents' records of Skeeter Davies, James Brown, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Miriam Makeba, Manu Dibango, and other African artists, Myra started singing and dancing, at the age of 2.

In 2010, she joined Hitsmith and released her first album, Answer'd Me; "Please Take it Slow" was number 1, 7 times in a row & "I encourage U" number 2 in the first week on the New Christian Music Gospel Euro Charts.
