Yuriana's artistry, on drums and percussion, is dazzling and diverse in collaboration with the Robin Connell Trio.
Percussionist, Yuriana Sobrino began her journey by performing with her family’s Latin-American band in Mexico City, becoming well established within the Mexican jazz scene at a young age. Graduating Cuma Sum Laude from the Berklee College of Music in 2011, then moving on to New York City, Yuriana quickly began performing with prominent musicians at venues such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Smoke Jazz Club, Zinc Bar, and The Kennedy Center. Her versatility as percussionist in a wide variety of musical genres including jazz, pop, R&B, Mexican, Ecuadorian, Bolivian, Venezuelan, Columbian, Puerto Rican, and Brazilian, keeps her working at venues across the globe (including 'Ain't Too Proud' at Devos Hall in March).
